STUDY AND TEACH??!!!??


I'm teaching here at the moment and would like to study as well. There
is a school in Daejeon called Woosong Univeristy who offers MA TESOL for native and non-native English speakers. Is it possible to be on a working visa and study or what visa would I need? Has anyone had experience or is teaching and studying at the same time? Or any advice on Universities in Korea catering to English speakers.

i would get a ma tesol from a more recognized western university -- it will be more expensive, but will have a lot more value. i've seen a lot of these ads where you teach practically for free for two years and then they give you an ma in tesol from a korean university that no one has ever heard of. it may help you if you want to stay in korea forever, but back home it will be worthless. the same could be said for a lot of correspondence or distance ed ma's in tesol. most schools in the states don't recognize those as accredited.
