I think if you follow any organized religion to the end of its belief system you will usually find extreme intolerance of the other religions and the non-religious and absolute exclusivity, even if only the fundamentalists consciously and openly speak on these things.
A mormon friend of mine once protested that I was wrong on this count. She spoke of the different levels of heaven to prove her point.
But when pressed on who gets admitted into the top levels, she became a bit intolerant and said something like "people have their whole lives to reach the right conclusions and make the right choices..." |

It makes perfect sense to me that he would include the US government in this list. He would oppose any administration that isn't a theocracy. |

P Robertson is just looking for attention and may be just a frustrated fellow. He probably has a closet full of things to hide that would show him to be the regular mortal that we all are. Hence his projection to draw attention to him as a spirtually correct guy and moral force. |
