Due to being royally shafted by my school about my winter vacation. I cannot go to the States as planned.
Does anyone have any suggestions where I could go for a reasonably priced 7 day break? I need to escape this country!!!!!
Thanks

Hello All! As a long time reader of this board, I've finally registered as a user because of this travel forum, which I think incredibly useful.
I usually go to Bangkok for a short trip due to ease of arrival/departure, low prices and cosmopolitan cusine. But options for traveling abound in Asia and the Won is hitting 7-8 year highs right now!
I'm curious where others would recommend for a short trip. Skiing in Japan? Power shopping in Hong Kong, Manila or Beijing? Angkor Wat? |

Yes you can! sort of.
Guam is American territory, with lots of native English speakers and nice beaches.
And it's cheap for a week from here! |

I heard Guam was a big concrete tourist trap full of Koreans.
Anyone confirm that? |
