|
|
The market appears to be dominated by recruiters, some of them managing quite a lot of work. Would you try to dodge recruiters totally, or apply, or even call them directly? Applying for some jobs overseen by recruiters can prove fruitless, as they have so many on the hook, so many applicants, they haven't time to consider yours- one in a few hundred. Perhaps they need to be called. There are of course a few jobs posted not clouded by agents. But to increase job leads, would you sniff out the agents yourself? Give a few a call? I can think of a few that seem never to reply to a mere email applicatication with resume and photo/degree because they must be overrun.
Just thinking how to get a job soon. |

I have a limited experience with recruiters but will share what I have. I got my first job thru Eduorange; did the necessary paperwork, picked me up at the airport, came along to inspect the apartment and sat in on my first meeting with my employer. I didn't need to see him again because the place was fine, so can't comment on service beyond that.
A friend used MorningCalm and it was a horror story.
I emailed NetKorea when I was looking for a new job; took two weeks to respond, but they did offer me two decent jobs (public high schools); had already signed by that point.
Good luck. |

For my first job I posted my resume on some sites. I mostly got a lot of spam from recruiters, but did get one offer directly from a school, which I took. For my second job, I contacted 3 recruiters. Koreana Teachers Club (Pnf) found me the job I wanted before I even heard from the other 2. It was easier for me to go through the recruiter, but maybe I got lucky.

I think this is may be the way to go. You put your mug on the net and then are able to choose from all those mailing you. |

Youve been here for years jaj but your questions sound like a newbie's.
Identify your strengths & wishes & sell yourself. The market, as you know, is hungry for teachers.
I really dont know why you cant hold a job but some self-reflection seems in order. What is it you want? No job is perfect & all require effort. Do you give fair value? Given the power, would you hire you?
Your inability to find a niche is perplexing to me. I'm just an internet stranger but you expose yourself candidly on these forums & ask advice. I think you need to get your act together.
If youre true to form, you'll brush this post off & be back asking similar questions in another couple months. But I'd really like to hear instead youre reasonably happy somewhere.
Thats not going to happen out of the blue though. It will take some concerted changes on your part. |

He'll never be happy because Korea isn't Newfoundland. Ever met a Newfoundlander before? It would explain a lot. |
