I'm hot. Neither my school or my apartment has a.c., and it's not the first summer I've gone through this.
A lot of business also seem to have something against a.c.
So, do you have a.c.? Has it been invented yet in Korea?
Chi-Chi
By the way, how do I make this into a poll? It's not letting me.

Chi-chi,

Yes, A/C has been around, but they've yet to open their eyes and pocket books for them!

I've saved myself...A/C in my house, A/C in my apartment, A/C in the car, A/C in the office, and A/C in all classrooms. Also, I have students crank up the A/C 5 minutes before I arrive in class...ahh, a cool crisp 18 degrees all day~!

Sorry.

You can go to a local 5 and dime and buy a used window unit (or the like) for about 100,000 won...then if you move you can take it with you...but cutting the window so that the unit may fit, and replacing said window may not be cheap, depending on window quality.

Shoosh,

Ryst

Bulky, in-window unit that cost me 150,000 used some years back. Work of art.

an air conditioner is a fan blowing cooled air, if you use that you are risking your life.

No, but my apartment kicks so much ass(aside from the cat hair), that I don't need such frivolous things.

In school, they do have A/C action, but they won't turn that crap on until someone spontaneously combusts.

School has it and uses it, but at home I go without.

And my fan busted last night. I almost died, especially since the fan is also my only weapon against the skeeters.

If we can get over the unseasonably cold weather this year having A/C might be a good idea...for about 2 months. Wink

got a/c at work but not in my apt. So far i haven't found the heat to be that bad this summer (knock on wood) so haven't yearned for A/C- yet. It's a blessing having it in the classroom though.

You'll probably have to start a new thread...
