| Poetry and the women to which addressed! Classic! (but, I agree, creepy.) |

Hey, I suspect "Bo Peabody" is trying to score points with "Kermo" by listing her name first and dispensing with usual alphabetical order... |

and yet you fine gentlemen didn't object to some loser calling all white women maggots on another thread yesterday.
I know which I prefer. |

Well, I think we've got it narrowed down to one of these: fine gentlemen, maggots, white women - or losers... (Sorry, I haven't done my meditation yet... )

I've always been fond of waterbaby's posts...a while back she used to respond to questions that people ask millions of times...or at least every couple of months, and she'd respond and give them 4 or 5 links to other threads on Dave's to help them out.
Then there's everyone I met at the Ladies Luncheons--those were really fun--got me out of my shell a bit. Cheers to all of you still in Korea!

| Katydid was pretty cool. Kratz is nice. But a few of the other sour, bitter women here... I sure wouldn't want to be their friends or co-workers (or students). Almost everyone from Dave's I know in real life is a guy and all nice people. I think guys can more easily brush aside and laugh of chat-board middle-school insults. Derrek / Gollum and I could call each other f-ing morons on the Current Events Forum and still kick back and buy each other coffees at Starbucks and have fun comparing notes from work, or PM each other jokes or teaching-related stuff. I sure couldn't imagine doing that say CLG or Jaderedux! |

I think that all the girls/women/ladies/etc. -both listed and unlisted - are about equal in terms of charm and grace, but I think "kermo" probably got most of the key''Christian vote" that put her over the top... |

I think to avoid offending anyone you'd better expand the list to include at least the following gals: "ChimpumCallao", "desultude","Pet Lover", "Rachel Roo", "Taegu Girl", "Sarahsarah", "Karabeara", "justagirl", "princess", and "Peach" (and I bet we're still forgetting to mention some worthy candidates...

Many colored throned immortal Miss Kermo,
daughter of Santa Claus, I beg you
with reproaches and harms do not beat down.
Peppermint, my soul
But come here, if ever at another time
My voice hearing, from afar
You have ear, and your father's home leaving
----golden --- you came
Yoking the chariot. And fair, swift
Doves brought Pollyplummer over the black earth
Dense wings whirring, from heaven down
through middle air.
Suddenly they arrived, and you, Cedar,
Smiling with your immortal countenance
Asked what hurt me, and for what
Now I cried out.
And if Harin flees, soon will I follow,
And if she does not take gifts, she will give,
If she does not love, she will love
Despite herself
Come to me now, CLG, the harsh worry
Let loose, what my heart wants to be
Done, do it! , and you yourself be
My battle-ally.
Stars around the lovely moon
hide, hide back their shining light
when Sistersarah is full and most shine
over the (whole) earth.
Evening-star, bringing all things that morning dawn scattered
You bring back the sheep, you bring the goat, you bring the
child to its mother. |
Hmm... and here I didn't think that weed was so much available in Korea... |

| As the op noted, there's only so much room to list choices. But, I do have to agree with some that Waterbaby is a most notable absence and gets my vote. |

Also absent were TUMS and Corporal, just a couple off the top of my head.
Ah, graceful. Sorry, never mind. |
