Does Korea have a self-service car wash in the Seoul area?
I hate to pay some ajosshis 10,000 or 15,000 won to clean my car, and the gas station machines really eat up the paint. |

I've never seen one, but then I wouldn't be looking for one.
I understand your dilemma, but personally, I hope self-service car washes arrive in Korea around the same time self-service filling stations do: never. I like things just the way they are. Or were. |

Actually, I've seen quite a few. Just have to keep your eyes open. I saw one when leaving immigration in Mok-dong just across the street, kinda.
They're there! Good luck! |

And, should you chance to be at the aiprort, there is one beside Incheon Golf Club in the business centre next to the terminal building (well signed, about a kilometre). |

Just drive to the taxi driver restaurants and let the baggy pantsed ajumas wash your car while you eat, like the good old days. Damn this D-I-Y bull-shit to hell. (Well, at least they won't let you pump your own gas. I'll just have to be content with that.) |

Hey Mr. Guru I hear you talkin'bout the good ol'days but I appreciate the self-service car wash. Hand wash costs 10-15,000 won. I can self service mine for 4,000.

They are all over the place.
They look like a mini garage type system...you use a hose and pay like 500 won a min or so.
I paid 20k for my car to be cleaned and it was money well spent. Ever see that episode of Married with Children when Al gets his car washed. They can't find the car as the original brown color was dirt...that was kind of like my car haha. |
