I can't call it. I love OK Computer to death, but, for me it's really a neck-and-neck tie between The Bends and Kid A.
However, if I were kidnapped and forced to pick one, I'd probably go with The Bends, but only because 'Fake Plastic Trees' is possibly the greatest song ever written.

When I first bought Amnesiac, I liked it better than Kid A (which took me a couple of listens to dig); but over time I've decided that Kid A is tighter. Nothing wrong with Amnesiac, of course. In fact, Kid A and Amnesiac should probably be considered as a single album, much in the same way that Natalie Portman and Kiera Knightly should be considered the same person.

You still up?!
I still haven't heard Kid A, but Amnesiac was deeper down than OK Computer.

You think you drive me crazy
Come on, come on
You and whose army?
You and your cronies?
Come on, come on

Come on if you think
Come on if you think
You can take us on
You can take us on
You and whose army?
You and your cronies?
You forget so easy
We ride tonight

Crank that final riff to the upper Hz and you can almost smell the earth. There was a much more satisfying balance between the voice and the melody, whereas OK hit the red with the lyrics. That's what I always admired about it. I dunno how to put it. Amnesiac got me more in the groin than OKPC. I love playing bass to Amnesiac, but not so much to OK. Both great in different ways. |

OK Computer. I'm with you on that one. I'm not a big fan, but that's the one for me. |

Where's the "None of the Above" option?
Sorry - I've heard lots people raving about them, I've listened to lots of their stuff, but there's just no escaping the simple fact that...
I. Just. Can't. Get. Into. Radiohead. |

Right!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that Amnesiac contains Radiohead's strangest songs. I know many have spoken of it as Kid B, so if this is the scraps, I suppose I should taste the main course. |

Kid A is their best by far.
They will never do any work of art greater than Kid A.
It's Like Dark Side, people will still be talking about 30 years from now. Just amazing. |

I know I'll take flak for this, but as far as I'm concerned Airbag is the best Radiohead song. |

See, I feel that Exit Music (For a Film) builds into so much more than the opening track. I can murder both with off key harmony, but Exit Music (For a Film) just moves into darker and heavier things. Which I, personally like.

And it is the first of a three song concept/medley that constitutes what is for me the core of the album. |

Ok computer for me. A completely fantastic album, every track is absolutely timeless and amazing. Having said that same goes for The Bends, but Ok just pips it. |

I seem to like there, there the most right now. Why so green, and lonely...that's the best part. Probably that album. |

I rarely listen to the second half of OK Computer and parts of Kid A & Amnesiac are just grating. Thom Yorke's incessant whining puts a damper on an otherwise beautiful song. Imagine what could have been if Nigel Godrich decided to take out the vocal tracks on a song like 'Dollars & Cents'. Wouldn't it be nice?
Or pass the mic to someone like.... Bjork once in a while.
I love the guitar-rock of the Bends, but like mithridates, I find Hail to the Thief to be their best and most coherent album. My vote goes to 'other'. |
