Attractive piece of currency, I think. Same guy on the face (& his ghost image in the blank area to the left), fruit & flowers & bugs on the back. Can you name them? New 1's & 10's to come out later.
Might have been a good chance to lop some zeros off the won, but oh well. Korean friends say they feared that would have led to price-gouging.
New 10-won coins coming soon too, minted out of cheaper metal. As far as I'm concerned they could just lose them but on the other hand a big pink plastic pig full of them makes a pretty good doorstop. |

| I got a couple of the first ones off the press about 2 weeks ago. My father-in-law is a banker. The new notes are about the same size as the American dollar. |
