Ya know, I always thought mindmetoo was the chick in the avatar for some reason. Hmmm, I also feel that way about jongnoguru, you're not really a telephone though, are you?
I think the best way to settle this junior dispute would be for junior to post a pic of herself with a current newspaper.
We're all curious about the real junior. That photo is too hot to be an actual person on Dave's. |

well...in another thread junior writes in fluent korean (or as far as i know its fluent) so i guess she's gotta be what she says. unless some dude is so bent on having a sock that he got his girlfriend to write a post for him. but even if that's the case, his effort is so great that i gotta just throw up my hands and say, "alright i believe you." but...man...what are the odds that somebody's picture is a stock photo and its real?? i was really sure about that one...
and what is with this argument going on on this thread? jesus. I'll settle it for you: whoever makes the last post in an internet argument is the always the bigger dumbass. because it means you can't let something go and you always gotta have the last little dig, which makes you a petulant jackass. I know you may think "I won" but you didn't, you lost. ok? |

Am I? Well, one can never be entirely sure about these things, but my theory is that we'll all come back in our next lives as office and household appliances. And my fondest hope is to be reborn as a big black desk-top, dial-type telephone from the 1940s. And ideally in the 1940s. Yes, the telephone -- one of man's great contributions to the scheme of things. Rugged, hefty, no messing about, that there's a man's telephone. Yet if I do all right this time around, they'll put me on the desk of a pretty young secretary... a brunette, I think she is, not too tall. And she'll press me to her rouged cheek, she'll brush her delicate shell-like ears and soft, tantilising lips against me all day long. Maybe not the most sublime existence, but it does beat being a toilet plunger or a step-ladder, now doesn't it?
This won't make sense after I change my avatar, and I know that I will, so here's my current one with my phone, the one I'm talking about:

Dating Younger Women. If she's not yet of legal age, keep things from going too far until she is. Don't want to wait that long? Then look elsewhere. You're asking about the "social acceptability" here in Korea of dating women (girls) 8~10 years younger than you? Many people will roll their eyes at this, but I'd think their numbers pale beside the those who will roll their eyes at Korean-foreign couples of any description, however close or far apart their ages.
For the vast majority of Koreans who'd have an opinion on your dating this (or that) girl, their real concern isn't her age, it's your race. |

Just reviving this thread to gloat a little. Thanks for coming out of the sock drawer, Junior. I didn't believe you were actually a woman, but you did succeed in annoying the hell out of me. I had to sit on my hands not to reply to that "my mother not letting you out in Itaewon" post. |

My gf was there for some rapid correspondence in Korean with Mith that time. The other times I just pasted useful phrases from a "How to write Korean' website, or from the ublove profiles.
I based the character mostly on girls i've known or dated, amplifying only the silliest, most air headed aspects, combined with a sort of victim mentality. However after a while it was too much effort to get inside a K-girls head, and I was feeling a bit of coldness/ condesension on here as nobody wants a real korean invading a foreigners private chatboard..also I messed up early on with posting some easily accessible pics, so people were'nt 100% sure I was for real. The responses were drying up so I just decided to stop.
Ultimately I probably would've tried to lure posters I dislike to non -existent dates by way of revenge, so lucky for yous all I got bored of it. |

Thanks- I felt a lot more in control- just posting a pic of a stunning woman got an immediate response of politeness and flirtation. |

I find 19 - 21 year olds the easiest girls to pick up here. Each to their own, then... |

I dunno. No offense, but that was some pretty crummy socking.
1. Don't use a pic with a watermark
2. Change the name of the pic, cuz it was easy to google
3. Don't alternate between perfect english and crummy konglish
4. Don't get accused of being a sock by 5 different people by your 3rd post.
5. Do something funnier with it. Posting up a bunch of those PMs would be a good start.
I'm sorry if this is an assh*le post, I just feel so cheap and used. |
