So far so good! Harper and those Big C Conservatives are just too creepy for Canada.

Notice they're all negative scores. What does that tell you? Wink

This seems pretty current on election results:

http://www.cbc.ca

They're projecting a minority Conservative gov't.

Crap.

Ah yes, just logged on to the CBC. A Tory minority is a hell of a lot better than a Tory majority. All in all I doubt it will make much difference.

How long until the next vote?

I can't see too many other parties getting on board with the Conservatives to help make the minority govt work. Should last shorter than the Liberal govt did. Do the Liberals change their man before the next election?

A conservative government? Excellent news. As for other parties working with them, the NDP has made encouraging sounds (according to Martin anyways.) Or if that fails, Harper may engage in power sharing with the BQ. ANYTHING but those corrupt Liberals.

Good god look how blue ALberta is!

Maybe they should be the ones to have a referendum. Then Bush can liberate them from the evil Ralph Klein and Americans can finally have their 51st state. Wink

Globeandmail has the best coverage, go there.

Edit: They don't seem to want to pay for their servers. The Star is better.

Tories winning or leading 124 seats. I sure wouldn't want them to end up with much more than that. If it stays that way I'm not too worried.

The Toronto Star has declared a Conservative minority (even without knowing what's going on in BC)

Yeah, a Conservative minority government looks harmless enough.

But to get the Block Quebecois' support of legislation to pass what kinds of laws will they be?

Weaker federal government, stronger provinces (the interests of Quebec and Alberta at least).

C-BQ agreements will not be in the best interests of Canada as a strong, united nation.

But it should put more money into the pockets of regional interests.

At least we know there won't be any regressive social legislation pushed through !

Ignatieff made it through, I was wondering how well he was going to weather the storm down there in Etobicoke-Lakeshore.....

Should be interesting to watch him move up through the ranks...

Stockwell Day was easily re-elected in the Okanagan.

Imagine Stockwell Day as a Cabinet Minister !

Shocked

At most, the Minister responsible for Youth... a minor portfolio suiting his talents

or a backbencher

(oh, the yahoos in the Conservative Party)
