Im at an English winter camp and we are getting paid 2.0million won. We have just finished and they have paid us 1,450,000 won claiming that since we are working on a c4 visa our tax is 27% My understanding is that the tax is between 3-6% What the hell????
Is this correct?? Are there any further actions we can take??? I fly out in 24 hrs!

| That's because it is crap. Just check at your district tax office, or have a friend inquire for you. I wouldn't look to your employers for answers. While I do think it may be more than 3-6% (your visa doesn't require a year long sojourn, causing you to be a non-resident). 27% is a bit obvious however, so make a trip to your DTO. |
