Scott Brison is the eastern Tory turned Liberal, I believe he was PWGSC (Public Works) minister. If it matters any and if I recall correctly, he's openly gay.
Did he keep his seat? I hadn't noticed.

He's also relevant to this discussion because he switched parties just like Belinda Stronach did.

Then I guess he's a political hooer as well.

Actually I am surprised nobody mentioned Frank McKenna before now. I just read this morning that he's resigned as Ambassador to the US; the guy's got the rep and the governing experience, he's an obvious candidate.

Who gave me the right to tell you that you're being sexist? This is an internet forum!! What the hell did you expect?

Look who's talking. If it's an Internet forum, you're bound to hear shit you don't like. So don't go around telling other people what they should say. Or the form they should say it in.

Maybe, maybe not. But I'm challenging the connotations of the language that is used to describe her.
Inexperienced? Maybe.
But a whoore? A bimbo?
These are the words of sexism.

Frank McKenna or Allan Rock.....only two people who would win back my Liberal Support. Ohhh I do love Allan more than Frank. I wanted him instead of Pauly boy. Anyone else is suspicious to me!

As for Belinda....the Canadian Public would never allow a Daddy's Princess to run the country. Who want's to give her that privelage?
I can't stand the woman. She doesn't say anything intelligent. And excuse me but she comes across as that typical blond that we all love so much...nice on the eyes but keep the mouth shut--except for certain reasons.

The only ho that is filthier and more of a skank than Belinda is The Right Honourable Paul Martin himself.

Did anyone call Scott Brison a whoore? No, beause he is a man. Use words that aren't particularly degrading to the FEMALE gender and your arguments won't come across as sexist.

Go ahead and call him a whoore, I don't care. I don't even know who he is.

Well, you should look him up because it's relevant to the discussion we're having.

No it's not...unless we are discussing Scott Brison becoming the next liberal leader which we are not.

Here let me connect the dots. The topic was who would be the next Liberal leader. Belinda Stronach was mentioned as a possibility. Brison was not. So discussing Stronach is relevant to the topic.

ALL politicians are hooers. It comes with the terrority. Stronach is just a particularly nasty one. That is all.

Thanks for connecting the dots for me UrbanMyth!
Although this thread is about the next Liberal leader, the discussion MOS and I were having pertained to the particularly derogatory language that is used to describe Belinda Stronach concerning her crossing of the commons floor. As Scott Brison was a prominent MP who had crossed the floor due to long standing and fundamental ideological differences, his case is relevant to the debate I was starting in this thread. The kind of language used to describe Brison from the media, and apparently the people on this board, although angry, did not include words like whoore or bimbo, despite some similiarities in his switiching sides.

Did you even read the whole thread before you posted that?

Also, I would be interested to hear a serious argument as to why you think that all politicians are hooers.

Yes I read the whole thread. The topic was the next Liberal leader. Belinda Stronach was mentioned as a possibility. Therefore it pertains to the discussion to mention her liabilities as leader. However Brison was not mentioned and therefore has really no relevance. And I believe Mr. Manner of Speaking DID call Brison a "hooer" as did I.

Why do I think that all politicians are hooers? Can you think of one, just ONE politician who has kept EVERY campaign promise s/he has made and can you provide absolute proof that this is so? In order to be elected, politicians almost invariably have to lie (in other words they sell their integrity for money.
