I've been here a while, and I'm afraid of getting that "been there, done that" attitude. There are so many farging ppl in Seoul all crammed together that there has got to be more to do.
I loved it when I went to Loryang-jin fish market and had fresh sashimi with the fish still gulping for water/air while I was feasting on its flesh, and enjoyed the assortment of different kinds of sea-kill with the ajimmas grinning at me in approval of my soju-drinking, sashimi-slurping extravaganza.
I also like getting piss drunk at those road-side soju vendor thingys in those orange-vinyl-covered sea-food joints (in some parts of downtown Seoul; danm expensive tho, the sea-food ones), or just at any one of those all around the city (they all have soju stashed away, if you ask them nice with a jesture, a word and a wink).
I was freaked out when I had my fortune read to me by a shaman mystic, a manshin, (please, no self-righteous flames from the church-ladies here; I will enjoy my nice bake in Hell, thank you), and it being so accurate (got phone number and directions, if you want em).
I love the cheap, really-good-acting, experimental theaters all over Haehwa-dong/Daehak-no area.
Going to a really cheap baseball game in Korea (under 10k won!) with a bunch of my old students (now in college) and getting piss drunk passing around a plastic bottle of spiked lemonade, lemon soju, and getting weirded out by the really funky cheerleading chicks and the drill-instructor like cheerleading dudes and doing all these group cheer moves with my students (and no body seems to watch the game: one time a spectator snached a rival team flag and ran to the other side of the stadium to the other "enemy" side until the enemy overpowered him--even the ball players watched him for a while--that killed me).
Any more suggestions for an adventure in the city or in the country that is different than anything you've ever done in yer home country? |

Going to high class, expensive anmas and room salons and not only getting what I paid for, but getting my mind blown away.
And THAT is the real Korea. |

What a pity Burger King doesn't do the same for cows. |

Dancing with crazy country folk at Buddha's birthday after they fed me their moonshine makkoli
"Sleeping" in a temple- (trying to sleep until 3am when they wake up for prayers anyway).
getting drunk all night on the beach at Pusan then going for a swim in my pants when the sun came up. Oh and on Deokjeokdo too. |

Doing the deed on a bus! Another while I was driving!

Drinking the local moonshine is really good, I agree. I wanted to learn how to brew my own Makkoli too!
I'm getting off topic as the first of the above is not really "exotic." I would like to see Grotto post more details here about the spelunking though.

I did the deed while driving a scooter, but I don't really consider that exotic. Cool, maybe.
I also had sex with my Korean girlfriend while listening to white power music (not that I believe in that garbage).
And being in a couple Suck Stuff songs is pretty cool.
I almost went with my friends for the final broadcast of Music Camp, which would've left me in deep shiat after a couple of them whipped out their willies.
I taught my girlfriend how to ski and she was one of the better skiers on the hill by lunchtime. I'm in the wrong teaching industry.
There's more but I can't remember them all. |

I ate some Kimchi once. It was a nice change from the Walmart fried chicken. |

I got mowed down by a vegetable sales van while crossing a junction at the green man signal.
It was probably the only time the driver wasn't polluting the air with annoying speaker sounds. Suspiciously quiet in fact.
It hurt but I am still alive. |

Hey there! I read this post of yours from awhile ago. So, I'm just curious - what are "booking clubs", and "room salons", and what exactly goes on there? And, how much does it cost? The only thing I've ever done is gone to get a nice massage, where you leave "happy". I'd like to know what these two things are. |
