Seems that some Hamas members have taken an EU office hostage in retaliation for the Mohammed cartoons in Denmark.

Life with Muslims means a life of bullying at the wrong end of a loaded weapon.

Freedom of Speech is an alien concept to certain cultures.

I for one am planning to try my first Steff hot dog in honor of this asinine boycott.

Maybe grab a Tuborg beer as well.

I can't count how many hateful, visciously anti-semitic cartoons I've seen from Arab newspapers over the last few years. If only the world could afford to boycott Saudi Arabia.

May Danish windmills continue to sprout worldwide and lead to a doable boycott of terrorist sponsoring petrol.

Some Muslim types are complete arseholes. Muslims are the same as Christians. A cretinous club of crazies.

I've met some nice ones though.

The only truly black-hearted evil people are NK political types and hagwon woners(owners).

What a simple man you are.

Let's hope the Danes tell the Arab world to go f$ck themselves. Funny how they get their dish dashes in a twist about some cartoons, yet don't mount huge rallies when chronic misunderstanders of their religion engage in mass murder. You would think that would be a bigger defamation to their religion than some cartoons of Mohammed.

Death threats, assasinations and attacks on the freedom of speech that is the essence of Western democracy. Europe, welcome to your future!

All centuries. They were especially bad in the 18th century 'shipbal sekkie'.

I had one of those nutter christian types come up to me earlier:

Nutter 'Are you a Christian?'
Me 'NO!'
Nutter 'Are you a Muslim?'
Me 'NO!, I don't care about it, I'm an atheist'
Nutter (looks pissed off)
Me 'Just leave me alone, and have a good one, have a god time'
Nutter (tries to force some poncey pamphlet in my hand)
Me 'give it up, I'm going now'

Bollocks to them. Xtians or nutter moho freaks, leave me alone.

As worrisome as the violence of Muslims have been, I also believe their beliefs should be respected. Of course, tyranny has to be brought down and brought to justice. At the same time, there are many wonderful Muslims who condemn this recent bout of violence.

As a side note, Dulouz, I don't think you should be using that cartoon as your avator. Why pour salt on a open wound?

While there are indeed many Muslims who are enlightened enough not to allow themselves be manipulated by their firebrand clerics into a blind rage, those who DO condone such things as suicide bombing make portrayals of Mohamed as such all the more accurate & justified.

UN to Investigate Jyllands-Posten Racism
Saturday December 10th 2005, 10:43 pm
Filed under: Newspapers, Global news, Ethics, Journalism, Online news

Responding to a complaint by the Organization of Islamic Conferences (OIC) over twelve caricatures of the prophet Muhammad published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten last September, Louise Arbour - United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights - has appointed two UN experts on racism to carry out a detailed investigation into what Arbour characterizes as a disrespect for belief.

Why did Jyllands-Posten publish the cartoons? The Copenhagen Post explains: Jyllands-Posten called for and printed the cartoons by various Danish illustrators, after reports that artists were refusing to illustrate works about Islam, out of fear of fundamendalist retribution. The newspaper said it printed the cartoons as a test of whether Muslim fundamentalists had begun affecting the freedom of expression in Denmark.

In case you never saw the Muhammad drawings

That is certainly on a par with calling for people to be massacred and beheaded, and backs up your astute analysis that "Muslims are the same as Christians".

I'm sure this poll in The Times must be incorrect, or flawed due to poor sampling methods, or is simply evil Zionist propaganda, because as we keep being told, 'the vast majority of muslims are moderate'.

Nearly two fifths (37 per cent) believe that the Jewish community in Britain is a legitimate target as part of the ongoing struggle for justice in the Middle East.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,171-2028033,00.html

And they were just the ones stupid enough, or honest enough to admit to such extremist tendencies. This comes on top of a poll in the Telegraph last summer which showed that over half of muslims in the UK wanted Western society overthrown.

Probably best to ignore this.

Where the hell do they get their energy? They've been rioting for days, are they given drugs by the Radical clerics? They must be doing something! I didn't think they were allowed to drink or do drugs?

This all began months ago after the first print and complaints to the Denmark government. The Gov. didn't listen/arrest/or legislate, so the Denmark Radical Clerics living in Demark/Europe ventured south into the Arabian countries to gather partnerships for this ridiculous cause. They certainly didn't have much problem. Now this concentrated effort is vast, quickly reachinging into Asia(Indonesia). Maybe to draw attention away from the Iranian Nuke issue?

We should make Mahmud Ahmadinejad from Iran Ruler of our World! Twisted Evil

Today the E.U. threatened Iran not to boycott Denmark goods. Very Happy
