Interesting, though I've never heard that.
I've never frozen a bottle of Jagermeister despite many attempts. |

skyy tends to get a bit thick and syrupy in my freeze. I suppose it matters as to the quality of the drink. |

How the hell?!?
I've had a fourth of a bottle of absolut in the freezer, lying on its side in the freezer for almost a year- it hasn't froze yet...
Maybe your roomate's been sneaking some and filling it back up with water? |

Yup, that's the only explanation as 40 proof alcohol won't freeze until it's about -100C which is colder than any normal freezer. I did find out in universty that dry ice can get that cold and that's what you need to freeze vodka. I knew the vast wealth of knowledge I gained from my chemistry degree would be useful 1 day |

Nah, I have no roommate.
I'm not sure why this vodka froze. Very strange. |

You should be very careful with this stuff. There have been instances reported in the medical literature of people suffering heart failure from drinking alcohol chilled to subzero temperatures. In one case, a man in Russia drank a shot of extremely cold vodka, and the chilled spirit caused a spike of ice to form inside his chest that expanded into his heart. |

I'm gonna need to read a Snopes report before I believe that. |

Well you've got some kind of extra liquid-probably water in there-where did you buy it? Have you drank it-does it taste OK? I'd probably pitch it because that is not 40% alcohol vodka you have there. |

Whoops, perhaps I should have done my research first. There have been claims to the effect of the one I made above, but apparently they are in dispute and have not been confirmed:

Someone's been in your house. Or someone's in your house. It doesn't freeze. Any natural born alcoholic can tell you so. |

Why keep it in the freezer in the first place? |
