I've had the chance to visit several subway stops this weekend. Some are far better than others. I've started just subway surfing and city exploring.
On Line 2. Outside the Seoul National Univ. Station was surprising empty. Looks like a office district.
On Line 2. I was impressed with the Gangnam Station. Tons of places to eat and drink at.
On Line 2. The Hongik Univ. (HongDae) Station has plenty of bars and restaurants.
On Line 2. Itaewon has the best selection of international restaurants.
On Line 3. Around the Apgujeong Station was rather empty.
On Line 4. Around the MyeongDong Station there are many restuarants and bars and shops.
On Line 4. Around the Sookmyung Women's Univ. Station there is nothing.
Which Stations are worth the visit? |

| I forget the name, but there's one station that looks like a cave, it's pretty cool. Also one has these pillars that look like they are melting and the cold steal of the "otherside" is showing through. Also many of the stations on the Yellow line are very new and neat, Imae in particular is very yellow and modern looking. A few of the stations in deep Seoul just put in an extra set of doors I guess to prevent injury, those might be worth checking out. |

Itaewon's on line 6 matey.
Anyway, it's not clear what you're getting at here. Do you mean the stations themselves or the area immediately outside, or the entire area (eg Itaewon) itself?
Some stations have got tons of stuff in. Dongdaemun Stadium has and I like Gyeongbokgung's. Itaewon's, unless I'm mistaken, has nothing of interest in it. |

Mate, you are not surfing if you are hitting these subway stops. You are looking for entertainment!
Ask you mates or ask those you meet when out. It is a process. Don't expect the mother load being in front of you after a few breaths out into the air from the cars.

| To clarify, I was speaking of the area above ground and immediately outside the station. So, I guess the exit number is important. |

is it on the purple line? if it's the same one i'm thinking of, it's new and cave like becuase there was a fire a few years ago...well, i don't know why they would make it cave like, but apprently a lot of people died in there (creepy)
wait, come to thik of it, it might not be on the purple line...dunno, anyone want to help me out with this? |

I think you're talking about Singeumho station on the purple line. I remember the cave-like appearance clearly because I would use it as an indicator for when I was one stop away from the Cheonggu transfer station. |

| oh yeah thanks beaver...i've been on holiday for a while...the blue and orange line one...it's really big (and was incredibly creepy when i was nearly the only one down there waiting for a train that seemed like it would never come...)...what got me is that the stop had big pictures of the disaster on display...flowers and condolences i can understand, but those pictures made me a little anxious... |

Try Sillim station on line 2.
Oh, and poke your head above ground sometimes. It's way better to travel on the surface than under it. |
