Hello everyone, gotta quick question for those of you who've been to Korea recently. I am a young, 21-yr old who still likes to go out and have a good time, and I'm trying to decide on a city to teach in. I know the obvious choice is Seoul, but I'm having a heck of a time getting a good position in Seoul, or anywhere near it, and am now looking towards other cities. What are your advices? How is Daegu, big, plenty to do, public transport, etc? And Busan? Thank you so much!

There are a billion jobs in Seoul. If you've got a degree, keep plugging away. Don't settle for a suburb, live downtown. The rest of Korea is good, but harder to get used to for a new person.

Yea, rule out Daegu, not as good as the other 2 cities, I don't think.

yeah, if you're young and like the night life, and i don't know...if you've never lived abroad before, you'd be better off in Seoul.

I think Daejon is the 3rd largest city in Korea..and there are about 1500 foreigners teaching in the city...

But, if you prefer Seoul, then, keep on looking~~ There are plenty of jobs available in Seoul, if you have the required qualifications...

No, Daegu is the 3rd largest city and there are some things to do, but it is a convection oven of heat and smog in the summer. If you like being cooked, it's a good option.

I should say that I have lived and traveled abroad for many years, so I am not worried about any of those issues.
