What is your opinion of wedding nowadays and what are you planning (or did)???
Personally, I would go for "No wedding, big honeymoon ($$$)" but I know that because of family and friends that I will most likely have to go with "Small wedding, big honeymoon ($$$)". I guess the honeymoon part depends on money, but I am pretty good with money, so it probably won't be a problem. Anyways, a big honeymoon costs about $6000 (nice cheap tropical country), big wedding, over $20000, screw that ) |

Or, you could have a nice, small, simple wedding in that tropical paradise. That way everyone who goes gets a holiday, too. |

Thought of that, looked into it while in Thailand, but most of my friends couldn't afford to come (and I couldn't afford to ship them all here, though I could possibly afford to put them all up). A few people from my family I would want there too would also not be able to afford coming. |

Ok..picked out the option that was closest to what we did....
We had a big wedding here in Busan. About 300 guests. That was my wife's parents idea. It was a great day.
Honeymoon was small in that we went to an out of way spot where we were alone.
Does that answer your questions? |

One of my friends just eloped with her guy- they had a small wedding on the beach, while on vacation. When they came back, they had a semi formal reception with friends and family to celebrate.
Saved them lots of money on things like dresses, flowers, the church, etc not to mention the headaches of planning such a thing |

We had two smallish weddings - a traditional one in Korea (the guests paid for themselves and we put up only 900,000won), and one in a park in Canada with only my close relatives which number about 100 (a couple of thousand dollars in a small town).
We also had a small honeymoon in Guam because my husband only had a few days off.
I wouldn't do Guam as a honeymoon if I could have a do-over, but spending very little on the weddings and honeymoon meant lots of money leftover for more permanent things like a big down payment. One day in my life or a number of years of financial security - I know which one I would pick. |

Covered all bases:
1 Large wedding in Korea and 1 mini-honeymoon at the Novotel in Gangnam
1 small wedding in Canada and a quick run down to Niagara Falls plus a three week honeymoon in Europe before returning to Korea.
Exhausting |

We had a huge wedding in Korea. Cheezy wedding hall with all the trimmings.
We've yet to have a proper honeymoon. But we're thinking Cozumel. |
