When i rent dvds from the video store it seems that half of them don't work. I changed regions, so that's not the issue. I can hear the reader repeatedly scanning the disc, but it will do that indefintely until i eject the disc. What gives? It's a waste of money and frustrating. Oh, and it's usually korean movies... |

You might try cleaning the DVD lens. You can use a CD Cleaner disk, I think. Are they gold-colored discs that have the problem? My older DVD-Rom drive has troubles with those, but the newer one doesn't. I haven't tried cleaning it yet. |

yeah, i cleaned it. I also called tech support a couple of months ago. After an hour and a half of going through the steps all seemed cool.
still no good. |
