This reminded me of something I read this morning:

Quote:
"I cobble together a verse comedy about the customs of the harem, assuming that, as a Spanish writer, I can say what I like about Mohammed without drawing hostile fire. Next thing, some envoy from God knows where turns up and complains that in my play I have offended the Ottoman empire, Persia, a large slice of the Indian peninsula, the whole of Egypt, and the kingdoms of Barca {Ethiopia}, Tripoli, Tunisi, Algeria, and Morocco. And so my play sinks without trace, all to placate a bunch of Muslim princes, not one of whom, as far as I know, can read but who beat the living daylights out of us and say we are 'Christian dogs.' Since they can't stop a man thinking, they take it out on his hide instead..."

This is from Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais' 1784 stage comedy Marriage of Figaro (adapted by Mozart for the great opera), from the famous Freedom of Speech monologue in Act V, Scene 3.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Who is? Why are you grouping Muslims from all over the world as some kind of evil Bloc?

Do you honestly think that there will be a worldwide Muslim rising? If so...wow...just wow.

I felt I was very specific:

Quote:
Islamofasicsts...

Quote:
Muslim extremists...

If you're asking where do I think the smack down will come from, it's from the West. The EU and the US.

These things are never localized, however. If they start carrying out terrorist attacks in the EU, if they step it up, it's not going to go well for them. Retribution won't be localized to just the Arab countries. You will get reprisals against normal, moderate muslim familys in Europe and the west. Mob mentality and all that. The etremists don't care about them except to broadcast their deaths as proof that their cause is just.

Yeah, I always wondered about that. Once you've had one of these virgins, is she replaced by another? If so then the virgin supply would run out really really fast. Like yesterday.

I think I heard once that the girls revirginize every day so every time is like the first time.

In my own experience almost every woman I ever shagged had two previous partners. It seems to stay at that number nomatter how old I (or my partners) get, perhaps something has been lost in translation?

Muslim cartoon provokes fury among UK Jews

http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/this_britain/article343291.ece

Quote:
An anti-Semitic cartoon in a Muslim paper, which depicts Israel's acting Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, as a hook-nosed figure wearing a giant Star of David, last night drew protests from MPs and Jewish groups.

Quote:
"This cartoon depicts people in the most obscene fashion, reminiscent of Die Sturmer, the Nazi propaganda sheet. It denigrates and incites hatred towards Jewish people. I sympathise with the Muslim complaints about the cartoon that appeared in Denmark, but it is hypocritical to publish a cartoon like this."

Quote:
Jewish groups have complained about previous cartoon portrayals of Jews that appear in the Arab press. They include a depiction in 2002 of the then Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak as Hitler, with his hands dripping with blood. Another shows a Jewish devil with a huge hooked nose haranguing the Pope. The Pope says: "Peace on earth" and the Jew replies: "Colonies on earth."

If it's so offensive to portray the Israeli PM as wearing the Star Of David, maybe the Israelis should take the Star Of David out of their flag, hmm?

What an inane comment.

I guess you failed to see the juxtaposition of the Star of David and the swastika.

OK, but what about the other cartoons that I provided links to, such as the one in which then Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak was portrayed as a Nazi with blood-soaked hands?
