Find anything you want that is rated K-1.
Basic reading, phonics, alphabet, kids tunes, nursery rhymes, coloring pages, connect the dots, flash cards, the list is almost endless.
Kids animated videos are always a hit. The Little mermaid, Mulan, and Barney the purple dinosaur, to name a few that are popular and keep their interest. They are available in English with or without subtitles, DVD or VHS.
The key with kids is KISS [ keep it short and simple ]. They have a short attention span. Keep them busy and active and you will be the favorite teacher. Bore them and you will lose them. 10-15 minutes per activity unless it is a hands on craft. Then up to one hour but they will need lots of help with it. |
