Woman Held in Twice-Attempted Murder of Husband
Police have arrested a woman identified by her surname Chung on charges of conspiring to kill her husband for insurance money worth W500 million only weeks into their marriage. A relative of Chung identified as Park and an accomplice identified as Kim are also in custody.
Chung married in early November and soon after took out four insurance policies worth W500 million (about US$500,000) in the husbands name. She then promised Park and Kim W100 million if they killed him. On Nov. 26, the two lured the husband on a fishing trip and threw him overboard into the sea, police said. But the victim swam ashore and survived. The next day, they invited him on a hiking trip and pushed him off the mountain, leaving the victim paraplegic.
The victim told other family members that his wife tried to kill him, and police arrested the trio based on a confession from Kim. Police said Chung and Park were denying the charges and the victim was still in shock.

Really!
What in the world would make him go hiking with the same people that threw him out of a boat! Where do you think they would have gone next? |

The police needed a confession?
A: "They threw me out of a boat. Then the next day, they threw me off a mountain."
B: "Maybe they were accidents -both of them. If you don't have any better evidence than that, then please stop wasting our time.
We have better things to do." |
