I mean, c'mon. I you're here for 5 years and the best you can get is 2.2 for a public school job then something is wrong.

Actually I make 2.4 for a public school job. And that's fine. I'd rather have the free time then work 50 hours a week making money. Quality of life and doing what you enjoy (teaching) is more important than working 2-3 jobs. At least it is for me anyway.

How do you know I was talking about you? Laughing

Seriously though, you could legally make 4 million teaching a 6-hour block. I'm thinking about doing it and I've only been here for a year. I guess the vacation would suck, but think about the quid. Hmm.

Oh well. I'm pretty comfy where I am too. Sometimes it's better the devil you know.

To the both of ya, first Urbanmyth...I'm already tired of the "troll" accusation(s). And, how is quality of life hampered with a 6 hour block shift? Or, are you jealous of the possible fact that "jacl" could pull it off?

To jacl... Details please? Inform us about how you would make 4 million Won with the 6 hour block shift.

Would you be using the Recruiters at Netkorea? Wink

Pretty sure one can make that and more. I'm sure I can. Just have to find it. CDI already offer 25 to 40,000/hr for a 4 to 10 shift. Do the math. There are others. I've heard of some ridiculously paying jobs, but you have to be in the right place at the right time. I heard of one where they pay you 6 million a montha and you only work the first three weeks of each month and get the fourth week as a holiday.

Koreans tell me that I'm well underpaid. Koreans that I teach.
