If an employer ever gets a hold of your passport and won't return it, call your embassy.

Besides, you can always get a new passport made if you really want to leave in hurry.

Thanks for all of replies! I spoke to my director first thing this morning, and told him that school b still wants to sue us, and is refusing to return our diplomas- and that I thought he was going to sort it out. He went down to the new school, has a long meeting with the owner.

He now tells me that they have made an agreement- there will be no lawsuit, we will be staying where we are, and we'll be getting the documents back- probably tomorrow....Fingers crossed it all works out.

I can only guess as to what went down in that meeting Shocked but it appears we are staying where we are, and are not going to have any further dealings with school b.

I'll be waiting until I get the documents back in my hands before breathing a sigh of relief though. We hope this is all over now.

Why didn't he get the docs when he went? Why would they hold on to them another day? That's just really stupid.

Your boss obviously forgot to get them from them or something else. Don't sign with your current boss until you see your docs.

I tell ya, these are a bunch of french-fried brain farts you're dealing with. I'd tell them both to take a flying fark at a flying donut and get a job elsewhere.
