|
|
My ARC expires about a week before my contract. I've heard from various sources that I have 7 to 15 days to leave the country without being fined, in which case I could finish up my contract and leave the country with an expired ARC no problem. Is this true? Anyone know the real story on this one? |

I would say that you should get an extension. Otherwise, you're working illegally. Also, make sure either your boss or immigration pays for the extension if there's a charge...can't understand why the hell they can't make those things match up or maybe give people an extra day or two to get out of the country. |

Get the extension. It's painless, aside from the trip to immigration. You don't get any extra days to stick around and prepare to leave; as soon as the ARC is done, you're expected to leave. |

You need any special paperwork, proof of plane ticket, or anything to get the extension? |

If your basic contract goes beyond your ARC, I think you just need to show them that, but it's been a while since I did it, and I went to the dinky office in Daejeon and had a nice officer.
If you're trying to stay beyond your contract for a bit, you need a plane ticket. |
