4 years is a bit extreme.
As a teenager i had a hard time, i actually got quite depressed around age 18 and spent about 10 months without any friends or doing anything. Spent a lot of time in my room etc.
i think a lot of it is indeed hormonal, the rest is a sort of dissillusionment with the realisations that hit you when you reach adulthood. |

| This past year was something similar for me. $5000 in credit card debt later I'm just digging my way out now. Trips to the grocery store and library were the real highlights of my week... It was depressing moving back home after being overseas and meeting so many people and seeing new places. Being back here where everyone is the same was difficult to readjust to. I didn't want to readjust for the longest time because this city is so boring. Hopefully going back overseas will turn things around. This year has been an utter waste... I have nothing to show for it, at all. |
