Yesterday I sign a sign advertising an Oasis concert in Seoul some time in February. However, I didn't pay close attention to it and it's possibly it was an ad from last year. Anyone know if this is coming up or is it old news?

I don't like Oasis, but it's encouraging to see that kind of band coming here.

I can sell you mine .... not! I'm looking forward to see the Gallagher Brothers once more. I just wish they won't be too drunk.

Can't agree with you. With the exception of Japan which is a fully developed G7 country where people still actually buy cds, it's not a good sign to see a band like Oasis dragging it's equipment to a place so off the beaten path. I doubt they sell a lot of cds here. I'll bet that the vast majority of Koreans prefer to steal Oasis' music from Korean download sites like Soribada and Edonkey.

The downfall of Oasis? Maybe

No! Noel was very upfront with the reasons behind the extensive tour. He basically admitted about a year ago that they pissed away so much money in getting the new album right (took about 2 years) that they would be touring forever to recoup. Of course his bottom line was never hurt, he just wanted to make the album a profitable venture overall.

This tour has been the most successful since the Be Here Now days in 1997. Almost every gig since June of last year has sold out in the UK/Europe as well as every other destination. They sold out Toronto last June in record time and did it again for another even larger concert this March.

As view their coming to Korea as a return to form, not the other way around. Of course, I'm a bit biased. Wink

I am also in need of 2 Oasis tickets for tomorrow. I did post on the wanted board, but thought this may increase my chances with the limited time frame.

ANYONE????

Speaking of shows...B.B. King is doing his last tour. He's probably going to play in Seoul later this year. Make sure to catch it if you're a fan. I'm already scheduled to call in sick on that day.
