Bit uppity about smoking aren't you?
Time wasted complaining to management in the great scheme of life: 10 minutes.
Time lost to your life by taking in some second hand smoke: 1 second.
If you're a gambler- I'd quit while you're ahead. |

You lose more than 1 second, dude.
I would invest the time better by trying to find a PC room that enforces the rules. Then frequent it. |

Fortunately, people haven't been leaving their cars running in the middle of PC rooms. |

show's you how much I've been around. . .the whole Gord -vs- Grotto thing is news to me. Entertaining, but news. . .
Gord: I just visited your AoG website and read the PC bang of the future segment. Dumping 50-80k into a PC room seems a bit, well, nuts. However, hope it works out for you and you can franchise / expand. Canada does need more and better PC bangs, so go show em how its done. |

PC Rooms in Paris are about 3 Euros an hour. To complain about Korean PC rooms is ridiculous. Where else can you legally go at 4 am when you're too drunk to see straight and don't want to throw money away for a hotel?
I've been to some super-deluxe PC rooms. Complaining about Windows 98 instead of the new version is kind of like complaining about 45 years in prison rather than just 40 years.. both options suck.
PC rooms should switch to Mac.

I loved reading "Acts of Gord"! It was awesome, mostly because I managed a sports retail store for over a year and saw a lot of the same stuff as is on that site! I was just about rolling on the floor for some of it, simply out of remembering that time when that customer in my store...
I don't think it's THAT egotistical, just a great piece of satire. |
Too bloody right! Acts of Gord is quite possibly one of the funniest sites on the Net - BOFH quality, even. Do I smell "Book of Orientalism: Wherein Idiot Dave's ESL Posters Get Schooled on the Greatness That Is Gord"? |

I went to a PC bang yesterday. I must have looked weird because not only was I the only white dude there, but I was also the only one not playing a PC game. (I had to print something from an e-mail.)
I felt sorry for the young girl working there. There was so much second-hand smoke that she'll probably die from lung cancer at the age of 25. |

We could all agree that nicotine is powerfully addictive.
That being the case, why is no one addicted to second-hand smoke? |

For anyone who cares, I used blue and ended up with a 75% market share.
While this is good news at first, the downside is that I ended up costing a dozen people who worked for the existing PC rooms in the region their jobs and murdered four other PC rooms entirely. It seems I can't do anything right. |

| [. So, hopefully I had been there for a while and racked up a nice 4000 won bill because at that point I just walked out without paying. They're not gonna enforce the smoking policy for non smokers like me then Im not gonna abide by the 'paying policy' for them... hehe |
And people wonder why Koreans have a bad impression of foreigners. Lucky for you they didn't call the police on their cell phone. |
Yeah, Pest's action pretty much confirms my theory that anti-smoking whiners are absolutely selfish vermin.
May all anti-smoking sissies be plagued with gnats, flies and locusts. Tobacco pumps billions into economies - revenue that would otherwise have to be raised via income tax - and pays for the damage it causes. Tobacco is the biggest destroyer of human life known to man but tolerated and legal because of the far greater good it provides.
Smokers pay extra, voluntary tax and also, by clogging up their arteries, pretty much ensure that there will be fewer old people clogging up the health and pension systems. People need to look at the bigger picture with tobacco instead of thinking just about right this very second when there's a bit of oh-so-awful tobacco smoke in the vacinity.
And I agree with Yu Bum Suk earlier when he said noise pollution is more of a problem. |
