I think your thread title is a bit of a bait-and-switch. Do you think banning Valentine's Day in Muslim-majority Kashmir is really comparable to banning Piglet in the UK?
I mean, Korea banning the TEAM AMERICA movie was an affront to free speech, in my opinion. But it's not quite the same thing as if Koreans living in the USA managed to get the movie banned there. |

eh, well.. do you object to the ban of pork and alcohol in saudi arabia as well?
Come on. It's Kashmir, not some western country. |

In there own hell hole, let them do what they want. The piglet story though...that makes me sick. The more I read about muslims, the more I really don't like them. And I don't like equally the people that bow and scrape to appease them. Brits, what happened to your stiff upper lip!?!? The country that would not bow to German facism bows and is slowly conqured by political correctness. Which is more dangerous?

I would have to say German fascism. Unless you wanna argue that banning Piglet is worse than hauling people into gas chambers. |

Do you think the Nazis began hauling people into gas chambers in 1933?
Things are getting worse bit by bit. The Muslims in Western nations now are intentionally pushing the limits, just to see how far they can go and how much they can get away with.
Sure, banning Piglet is an amusing little news item, but some Muslims have already spoken seriously about establishing the "Caliphate of London" and instituting Muslim law in Western Europe.
Similarly, Hitler's plans were all laid out in "Mein Kampf", long before people took him seriously and he had the power to see them through. |

Bal Thackeray of the Shiv Sena party (ultra-Hindu nationalist party) in Maharashtra also declared a ban on Valentine's Day as it is un-Hindu. This was in Bombay (or should I say Mumbai) of all places. |

Me too! The more I read about Muslims the less I like them. Im pretty much fed up with how they try and push their religion, their backwards views on places where they are immigrants. I dont expect them to assimilate and lose their culture. Keep it if you wish. Just stop trying to force it onto others.
The cartoon story is a great example of Muslim backwardness, muslim fanaticism. Reading the piglet story made me laugh and then want to punch the computer screen. I love this quote
Quote: |
Cllr Mahbubur Rahman is in favour of the blanket pig crackdown. "It is a good thing, it is a tolerance and acceptance of their beliefs and understanding," he said. That's all, folks, as Porky Pig used to stammer at the end of Looney Tunes. Just a little helpful proscription in the interests of tolerance and acceptance. |
Banning something is an example of tolerance. WHAT?! I think France got it right when they banned all forms of religious expression in schools. And Im glad it was aimed at muslims. Islam is a religion of intolerance. I think intolerance is what Islam deserves to be shown in the West. |
