Well, maybe most of you have had or are having your winter vacation now. Sweet, isn't it? Refreshed from winter vacation, you must be asking yourselves "What am I going to do for summer vacation?" I am asking myself that question right now.
However, when faced with the summer weather choices, I just don't know where to go. Most of the countries around here are either having extreme heat or too much rain. Does anybody have any good destination suggestions for summer vacation? |

Unlike most of Southeast Asia, many parts of Indonesia, including Bali, have their dry season in the summer. |

Taegu.
Never been there, but I've heard lots about its many green zones (though some are currently under primer and in other parts the colour may have chipped off a bit), and glowing accounts of its many other charms, both surreal and imagined, which leads me to believe that the region must encompass a dispoportionate amount of mental illness, rendering it more interesting than many of the more heralded wastelands. |

Hokkaido.
When I lived in Japan, I used to spend every spring break there, where it was always still very much a winter wonderland.
I never got to be there in warmer weather, but I've been told it's lovely in the summer time. |

Taegu has it's own International Airport. I guess the city is expecting a lot of traffic to and from Taegu.
As the city website says "Daegu Welcomes The World" |

I just got back from Kota Kinabalu in Malaysian Borneo and I would highly recommend it. |

No doubt in anticipation of an influx of disaster relief to match the outflow of refugees. |
