I think you should look at some of the non-airbrushed photos of Ms. Moss lately... not looking so good-- on the other hand, I think if you'd made an argument for some other English women you'd have had a good point... but Kate Moss? Ugh! Actually, instead of Jude Law, could we say that Ewan MacGregor (sp.) guy? He's dreamy! |

When I had not been in grad school very long (this is in Korea, studying Korean Studies) I made the mistake of saying that Koreans were racially (if 'race' even exists) homogenous. Oh! I felt like I'd stuck my foot past my tonsils by the time both three other students and the professor got done berating me. Koreans are NOT homogenous. Koreans have large amounts of Japanese, Chinese, Mongolian, Manchurian, even Vietnamese blood (the Vietnamese family adopted the name Lee/Yi and are very proud of it, they even recently went to Vietnam to do Jaesa (ancestral worship) despite their ancestor being a prince who was shipwrecked in Korea if I remember correctly during the Goryeo Dynasty). The king of Gaya even is reputed to have married a princess from Ayudhaya (sp). So, maybe Koreans are so good looking because they are so mixed!

You believe everything anyone tells you? Chinese, Mongolian, and Manchurian are all the same root genetic stock. And there is very little Japanese genetics mixed here. It's been studied, Korea is one of the most genetically homogenous societies on the planet. |

Hey Cedar- Ewan MacGregor isn't English- he's Scottish!!
As for the point about adding to the 'gene pool' in England- there has always been a significant movement of peoples from other parts of Europe to England (not just through battle and conquering)- there are notable amounts of Italian , Polish, German, Irish and Scottish genes floating about in the bodies of Englishmen (and women!!) |

No, I don't, believe everything people say, but after looking at it... it's not like you can say that the Korean people have existed as a distinct 'racial' group for centuries or something like that (what Koreans often believe)... and lets be serious here-- newer 'racial' studies are disproving the idea of anything beyond the most skin-deep of differences.
I certainly have never seen a reputable study that says that there is little intermixing between Japanese and Koreans. But I've seen a lot that shows that there has been quite a bit... this happened extensively for the Baekjae Kingdom and continued (sometimes as a result of pirate activity, sometimes to bind Tsushima more closely to Korea) until the colonial era where it became rampant.
I suppose when you are saying that Chinese and Mongolian and Manchurian are all the same, you think we should just say that people from Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Ghana are all the same, too?
I mean, seriously, there are differences between Mongolian and Han Chinese in their appearance. And since race is just about appearance... |

You forgot the French. Huguenot immigration in the 18th century has left its mark in that 25% of the population have some French ancestry.
I reckon it's true English people are, on average of course, an ugly bunch, but probably because of poor diet. The younger generation in England, as in Korea and other developed countries, has been raised on a richer and more varied diet making them healthier and better looking. Probably.
I've heard of this theory that the inhabitants of England are 80% genetically identical to the people there in the neolithic but it seems counter-intuitive considering the successive waves of invasions and then immigration. A 20% difference is quite a large gap.
I've also heard that Northern Europeans are closer genetically to Koreans and Japanese than either of those are to Chinese. |

as far as i know...OP has a point. whites and hispanics and asians DO NOT tend to marry black women and there is empirical evidence on this. same thing with asian men...other women just tend not to...sure sure...maybe you have, but that doesn't mean that you are not going against the norm.
theres huge beef in america at how asians dudes and black chicks are getting the shaft. I got a lot of dirty looks from, 'sisters', when i dated a very attractive black guy, who also had a job and didn't cheat on me. apparently those types are very hard to come by.
anyway, i don't care about interacial relationships...i guess i am in the most popular american one...hispanic woman and white guy. that's because minority women usually get treated as second class citizens in their homes and with their male counterparts, suddenly who meet some whites guys and you discover that someone respects who you are and whose culture doesn't condone giving you a good beating. Plus, white guys are taller. Hell yeah we're all over that. Here's my experience...
1) never been cheated on by a white guy
2) always been treated nice by one
3) they are funnier and have a better sense of humor
4) they are more interested in the world around them
5) they don't have a chip on their shoulder
6) they do not define their masculinity as to how much they repress their women
7) no rhythmn or desire to have any. adorable.
8) much better educated
9) calm and non-violent
10) no crying, over emotionalness, or woman-like irrationality
im pretty sure interracial relationships exist for the most part because other countries and races guys just have such bad raps. i mean...a black guy or hispanic that takes care of his family and plays with his kids is said to be 'so awesome! what an amazing person.'...as chris rock said..

Chimpchump ... here we go again with you raving on and on telling lies about white men! I really take offence to your nasty comments about black and hispanic men. Your daddy must be so PROUD of you.
FYI, most all white men I've ever known have been either morons, players or complete asses.
Thinking about the few black men that I know and have known over my years they describe what you said about white men. One is an NFL player, one is a great looking sexy cop, one has a HUGE heart and he's in the military now, one has a very successful biz here in Korea. They are all over six feet and treat me like a prize, an equal, a friend. Anything I ever need or want they would be there in a heartbeat with NO strings attached! As for the white men, honey you can keep them, enjoy! But don't go around saying they all treat minority women with respect because that's such a lie.
Almost forgot to mention, my mechanic was hispanic and I don't know what I would have done without him. He was a true family man. My mechanic before him was black ... a truely divoted family man. Both of those men were nothing but lifesavers for me when I had breakdowns. I enjoyed cruising around in his new Hummer showing off the spinners in that 80,000 SWEET ride when my car needed to be fixed. |

You take real offense about her comments, but then make the same kind of comments about white guys?
"They're all over six feet." Those are some impressive credentials. OK, ChimpumCallao, how tall were your white guys?
Just curious, when you brought the car back, did he say "where's my hummer?"
