Even if the kimchi filter wards off bird flu, won't the airconditioner lead to the dreaded "fan death"?

My wife tried to convince me that Kimchi can protect against the bird flu. I told her the same thing I'll say on here, I have yet to see scientific proof that it's true.

I hear that eating Kimchi frequently has the side effect of causing people to believe nonsense. (especially regarding kimchi)
