Volunteer English Teachers Needed
Make a difference!
Samdong Boys Town, in Mapo-gu, Seoul, near the World Cup Stadium needs volunteer English teachers.
Dates and Times: Every Sunday; teach a one-hour class anytime between 1-6 p.m.
Levels: Kindergarten through high school
Class size: 2-10 students
Kindergarten through 5th, and MS1-2 currently need teachers.
Some teachers volunteer every Sunday, some every other Sunday. It would of course be fine to teach MORE than one class!
PM me for more information. |

Thanx to those who responded. Several teachers still needed, though.
Just one hour a week, or even every other week, and it's for some great kids. |

Just an honest question I am sure many people are wondering about. Why do you need volunteers?
I ask only because I volunteered for a thing like this in China, then found out the jerk was making money off it by swindling good English teachers. Plus, it was a bunch of rich kids who had more money than anyone. |

I'm pretty sure volunteering is against the law. |

Actually, it is. It is not allowed on an E2 visa and if caught they will pretty much treat it like privates or a second job. So you need permission and a stamp on your ARC. Is it stupid? Very much so. But those are the rules. |

Seriously, what is the group? Is it a charity or aid group?
That could encourage me to do it. |

Maybe he did. But I think that people should know the risks, dont you? Either the OP should warn people, or find out the legalities of his operation.
Stupid? You betcha. |

Yes, but the way it is worded made me laugh so hard because it sounds like the usual deal here:
Work for free...never!
Help someone in need...no way! |

Oh, 100% agree. I'm still wondering about the need for volunteers too. |

I'd understand if it was for an orphanage or something, but somehow I don't think this is a charity job. There aren't enough answers in the OP by far. |

Yes, it had that double entendre in immediate hindsight. Didn't know how it would be taken. |
