Who calls 'boardgames', 'gameboards'? I'm assuming not a native speaker or maybe that's how they talk in Alabamy or somewhere. |

Yes, everyone hits this point... it's the night you sit around drinking with your friends and you suddenly stop when you realize you've all been dumbing down your English and speaking in Konglish phrases to each other, even though everyone at the table is a native speaker... |

They're quite fun. A great deal too. For about $5 an hour you can sit there and play games (drinks can add to the bill but it doesn't seem compulsory). Depending on the cafe, the staff is trained on how to play the game (you clearly need to go with a Korean to enjoy that service). But about 70% of the games are in English. Sometimes my GF and I will go to one and play that Rummyque (however you spell it) game. She's beaten me eight time to my single win. |
