OK, I am a dumbo.
I installed the software on my home laptop and put my tracks on (Korean language stuff so far) at the weekend and it worked OK.
Then I decided to install the software on my office laptop. I overwrote all the stuff I had put on the iPod.
Now, although I can see my stuff in iTunes - and play them on my home laptop - I cannot see them on the iPod.
Any ideas? |

not sure ...but try going into the preferences and changing the way that the i pod is updated, it might be set on manual update; change it to automatic update and that might work or just go under the file menu and click on "update ipod" i hope that works. You might also have to update your ipod software if the itunes you installed is the newest edition |

Thanks rokgryphon.
I did fix that probolem, by forcing "enable disk use", but I know not why that should have worked.
Now, I have tried to move some music over and I think I am up against the copyright issue.
It is beautifully made, but whoever said Apple Mac stuff was easy? |

As far as I know (and I could be wrong because I avoid Apple like the plague) the Ipod is only supposed to work with one computer and every time you plug it into a different computer it erases the drive on the Ipod. |

Yes, TB, I think that is the principle. If connected to a second machine, it asks if you want to change the "library" and if you say "yes" erases the contents. However, I also use it as a self-powered external drive so pass that option.
This is the first Apple gear I have had: like a Rolls-Royce, but as hard to drive as a non-synchromesh truck. |
