The red door store often has it, or you could check namdaemun market.

Yeah, weekends you can find street vendors selling cans of it from tubs of ice. It's about 1,000 won per can. But you might have to wait until the weather turns warm.

Sprechers has great root beer, and creme soda. I like the raven red pop. it's among Milwaukee's finest! Hannam market close to Itaewon sells it. Mr. Green

It's not the easiest to give directions to. But it is on the other side of Dankook University--Hannam campus from Itaewon heading towards Oksu station. It's in the basement but the sign on the building is easy to see. If you were to cut across the campus to the exit sort of near building 12 or 17 (I think) on the map. Cross the street and go to the left. You will be going uphill. The store is just a little past the rise. Hope this helps.

Hanam market used to sell rootbeer. Haven't been there in a while, so I don't know if they still stock it.

It's funny the crazy things we miss from home when we've been away for so long. I had a root beer phase, but I missed cream soda more. I surped down every Milkis I could find when it first came out (about 5 years ago! Rolling Eyes I'm really dating my self).

Now, I can't go back (that is the irony) because I have no real resume to speak of, and the jobs that I can get in the States pay way less than I can get here being some middle manager/English teacher. Sheh~

If you go to Hyehwa on Sundays, near the Catholic church is a Phillipino market and they sell A&W there for 1000 won. In the spring they also sell okra and other veggies you can't get in Korea. The food is also pretty good and cheap.
