Yes, I use it.

I have to say theat the sound quality and overall call quality is better when you use skypeout. I guess they are smart and allowing greater bandwith to paying customers.

As far as the headgear you are looking for, you can find that at any pc accessories store for under 20k won.

It's not really a revolution ... more like an evolution.

While Skypeout (meaning Pc-phone) calls quality is as good as a telephone, the quality is BEST when it's Skype to Skype (PC to PC) as the sound range and frequency is actually better than a telephone. I talk with my friend in Ireland every day and I can hear him as he makes breakfast in the background and even him buttering his toast, it's THAT good.

Yep, I have SkypeIn with a London number and it is excellent. 30 EUR a year and international calls for around 2 cents a minute (most countries) to landlines. The line quality is at least as good as any I have used.

Edit: I should have said: if I am not logged in, calls divert to my Korean mobile.

No they don't.. I had to get a Washington number. (BC resident here)

I bought Skype out about 8 Months ago for about 20 USD, it has lasted me up to this month.. Definetly worth it, I call my friends and family every week. Very cheap, its like 1.7 cents a minute.

Btw I have a built in MIC in my puter and I love it because its really good quality and it picks up sound better then most headsets.

I have a Powerbook, and find the built in mic is more than adequate for Skype. Just make sure you are wearing headphones though, as sometime the audio from the speakers feeds back into the mic and just starts going loop crazy. I use Skypeout all the time, and people can't believe I'm calling from my computer. No Skypein numbers for Canada yet though Sad

I haven't used skype, but I plan on trying it out soon. I just thought I would mention that Google's voice chat has the best sound quality of any of the voice apps I have tried. It only works on a person to person basis (no conference options sadly) and both people have to have a computer with it installed of course, but it's free and completely simple.

So that's a 'no' on Cda-to-Kor calls via Skype?
Could you do Kor-phone to Cda-pc calls?

I've been using skype for a long time. You can call pc-to-pc no problems. If you have skypeout, you can call Korea to anywhere including Canada for less than us$0.02 per minute

Skypein, which doens't have any Canadian numbers, allows users to call you from their landline to your computer using a local number. If you are not online it can be forwarded to voicemail or possiblely your real landline or cell.
