Another thing I wanted to ask - can I use my current VISA card in Korea? If not what credit card/s do they use over there and is it possible to get one in Australia before I leave?

Yes your Visa is accepted here but my experience has been that the exchange rate is often not favorable. So for small purchases the difference is minimal but for larger purchases, or if you're going to charge large amounts of money on your credit card, the difference can be substantial. |

You can use your visa, but I found it will only work in cash machines and areas where there is a high number of tourists. |

We can use our debit card (Visa logo) at most places, but our bank charges a small fee ($1.29 USD per transaction). |
