Whew, Canada won gold in men's curling. We might not to be able to get a goal past a bunch of perfume-wearing European male hoggy players, but give us Canadian men a broom and we know what to do!

Now these are athletes:

Is it me or is the second guy from the left Joe Flaherty? This has to be the only Olympic sport where men with pot bellies can win gold.

For some reason, he reminds me of an ice cream cone.

Its not any dumber than hitting a ball with a wooden stick or sliding downhill with a plank under each foot.

America got only a bronze. Looks like some sweeping changes will have to be made.

That is ridiculous. Hitting a ball moving at 90mph cannot be compared with sliding a stone across ice at another, stationary stone. But if you literally meant "hitting a ball with a wooden stick" and were not referring to baseball but to the act of beating up on a stationary ball with a stick, then yeah, you're right.

I think all the europeans on the board can agree that baseball along with golf is the stupidest and most inane sport on the globe. Baseball sucks and everyone knows it.

Correct that, it is the only Winter Olympic sport.

Baseball is in the summer, and you can have a great pot belly and still win gold. But, they are getting rid of baseball from the olympics.

Yeah, there's no more baseball in the summer games. Although I think you can be fatter and in less shape for curling than for baseball. If they introduce bowling into the games, well, I think Olympic bowling would trump curling. There was also talk, for a while, of introducing bridge (as in the card game) to the Olympics. That's just damn scary. It's worse than Olympic ballroom dancing.

Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark.
And as for golf... say- where does that come from again?

Yeah cricket sucks too, if a game goes on for 3 days between Pakistan and India with a score of 299-301 and yet there is not one single dead body, or riot, or small nuclear detontation I'm not interested.

I never thought I'd say this, but after watching "Green Street" football is where its at.
