| I have heard a rumor that there is a group on base that will sell you items found in the PX. Anyone have any contact info? |

| I abandoned this idea and just got a membership at Costco. I much prefer it 'cause I don't owe anybody any favors. For Costco locations in Korea, just go to their website www.costco.com |

| Mills, you shouldn't have to make friends on base. Weren't you in the military? Isn't that enough to get you on base and find out for yourself? |

| The stores on base have a much wider selection than Costco. There's also a GNC with prices that aren't inflated 8,000%, and a Taco Bell. If you're the type of person who doesn't mind pretending to be someone's friend so you can use them, just hang out in Itaewon, find a GI, and strike up a conversation about how much you hate Korea. In like flynn. |

I wish. You only get base privileges if you retired from the military, are currently an active or reserve componet of the military, or are sponsored by someone with the aforementioned prerequisites. |

I have a Cosco membership. Costco in Korea doesn't carry what I want (baby crib). |

There are plenty of places at which you can buy a baby crib.

Can you read Korean? I can give you a few links online that sell FOREIGN baby cots (crib)... but expect to pay loads more than you would at home.... |

No I can't, but I can get plenty of translation help on demand. What we would really like is a portable play-pen.
Thanks. |

If your wife is Korean don't bother. We have one and it is now the toy chest. |

I live in Bundang, and there's a place called Baby Nara. I think it's a chain, so there are probably more than a few (or ones like it) in Seoul.
But I agree with Chiaa; if your wife is Korean, chances are the crib will see little use. We had a crib (rented, wisely) which the little girl slept in about 3 times.

Semi-related....
When my bf(officer in army) took me to Yongsan, I was able to go in with him to the PX and buy whatever I wanted....but then we tried it in Osan and Pyeongtaek, and were told it wasn't allowed. Anyone know what's up with this? |

Go here and take a look. This is a price comparison website that compares prices of almost all available Korean websites.
