Well I'm leaving Korea in the not too distant future and I need to sell my pc.

Specs are as follows

AMD 3000+ processor
1gig of memory
Geforce 6600 256mb
200gig hard disk
DVD drive
19' flatscreen CRT monitor
Keyboard, speakers, mouse, windows, office

One annoying thing that does happen is that it recognises as the harddisk as the slave not the master meaning you have to press f1 on bootup. Doesnt have any negative impact on the computer whatsoever though and could be fixed by someone who knows what they are doing.

I'm asking for 500,000won with the monitor or 475,000won without. Message me your email address if you'd like a pic of it.

Are you blunders sock? It is an ok deal not spectacular. You could build your own for cheaper.

Well most people can't build their own PC's. Its cheaper than having it built for you.

I'm in the market for a PC, but your asking price is way out of my range. Would you consider selling some of the system without the monitor?

If you go to the underground in yongsan, and buy the parts, they will put it together for you for like 12,000 won. I almost took him up on the offer, but wanted to do it myself.

Compared to prebuilts its pretty cheap, I certainly didnt think it was at such a high price to have the forum patrol come on and bash the asking price! Still it goes hand in hand with the Buy and Sell forum.

I looked into getting my pc built at yongsan when i was buying one but a. I dont speak enough korean to negotiate with em and b. who knows what they put in when they build it for you?

If you dont want the monitor i'll knock 50k off the price, you can pick up a 2ndhand crt for about that price.

Ok, quote us some prices from danawa.com.

Edit: I put together a quick system on danawa.com using pretty cheap brands, and it came to 635,000 won without case, power, or motherboard. I'm not saying it's impossible to build a cheaper system than the O.P. is advertising, but I don't think it would be all that easy.

If I hadn't (very happily) paid 900,000 for a similar system a year ago, I would jump at this one. Sounds very nice to me.

I've lowered the price, and its a very fair one for the computer in question.

I'd be interested in buying this, but I've got to wait until the end of this month when I get the cash from my severance and stuff and move up to Seoul. If you haven't sold it by then, let me know.

For what it's worth, speaking as someone looking for a used computer I really don't know shit about computers. It seems to me anyone who would lower themselves to buy a used computer really doesn't need as much system as you're selling, and that anyone who does need that much system might just go to Yongsan and build their own from scratch. Again, just food for thought.

His price isn't out of line.

As for the idiot (sk) who bragged about building a model with the same specs for cheaper than the computer-only 475,000 price -- good luck. He has done nothing but prove he is a troll.

Especially if it is an Athlon 64 chip. I know, because I just built one with an Athlon 64 and a 250 gig HD last week. Even with a Sempron, it's not possible to build a full new system for that, matching the rest of his components.

Add it up.

Sempron 3000 chip at 100,000 (119,000 for a 754 pin Ath643000, or 150,000 for the same in a 939 pin config)

1 gig of memory at 60,000

a manila Unitech mobo at 55,000

a case and PS at 60,000 total

Combo DVD drive at 40,000

A 200 gig HD at 100,000

Keyboard, speakers, mouse: 25,000 minimum

and the graphics card he's selling at 100,000 or a bit more

The absolute lowest you're going to get this system BUILT for is about 555,000 won (Sempron, minus monitor). For that price, you need to hand-pick certain components. Reality is, you'll be closer to 600,000. And i'm being generous by giving you the lowest prices I saw on the items above.

If you want a licensed OEM copy of XP, add another 90,000 won. I won't even get into the other software (as it is probably pirated, anyway).
