I would like to be the first to welcome our new overlord and his monkey minions.
May your rule be benevolent and eternal. |

What I deplore about the Christian zealots is that they can never answer the hard, practical questions; rather they always revert back to that glassy-eyed, robotic default mode of the religious platitudes they've been thorougly brainwashed with rather than using their critical thinking skills--which no longer seem to exist outside of the cultish framework of what they've been told to believe. If you talk to one you'll always get the same robotic drivel as talking to 1000 others....mind-grindingly predictable and boring.
Christian zealots who have turned up on the boards here just to prosetylize is as annoying as having the Jehovas at your door every single day |
Yes, if you follow me, you can meet my leader.....beep!

Hey, give "fiveeagles" a break (I like his new Hindu babe avatar...) There are plenty of posters who aren't EFL teachers, but have some connection to the ex-pat community in Korea. For starters there's "Jongno Guru", "Mithridates", "Bulsajo" and those book-store people...(OK, I might be wrong about some of the mysterious folks I've listed...) Anyway, I think his posts are more intelligent, interesting and sincere than many posters, and I'd consider him a fairly liberal evangelist...

Thanks RTeacher. Personally, I like your posts too!
Pumda?
As for me being an ESL teacher, yes, yes, I admit I am not an ESL Teacher. I don't live in Jeonju. All of its a lie. I admit it. I am so....so terribly sorry. I just wanted to be able to say I was an ESL teacher. It was my dream. Damn it. Now you've gone and ruined it.
Great Toad, can I come and join your monkey tribe? |

While not mentioning him specifically, my apologies to Fiveeagles for inferring he's not in Korea or teaching.
I suppose what is misleading is that he seems to prefer prosetylizing on the boards most of the time than talking about actual ESL teaching.
My bad. |

To which hard practical questions are you referring? "Brainwashed" has got to be one of the ten most overused and misused words here at Dave's ESL. Brainwashed: The condition of anyone who stubbornly refuses to believe as I do. |

Are you looking for a hug too, because there's a lot of where that came from. Thanks for that.
Hey, God's my passion. For some people it's sports, for others it's music and so on. For me, it's the big guy. I think, I am safe to say that other Christians feel the same.
People start threads on "sexual orientation" and "did Jesus exist", what are you hoping will be discussed? Non-Christian views? If that is the case, then you are neglecting about a 1 billion people. How does that reflect tolerance?
If I am as hateful, zealous, idiotic and foolish as some say, then I would like to know how to become a better person.
Personally, my goal as an ESL Teacher is to help improve this community. My hope is that it will remove the scorn of sexual abuse and other horrible tags and will become known for excellence. |

Evangelical church groups DO exhibit many of the techniques/characteristics identified as mind control techniques used by cults. Canakistans statement is not unreasonable. |

The last thing in the world I would want is a hug from you.
I find you one of the most deluded, socially backwards, hypocritical, obsessed, and offensive-to-women users on this board.
Really.
Personally I wish you would flock off and spew your backwards religious crap elsewhere because it seems you are programmed to think of nothing else....but no kidding, you run a god biz!!!...and this is a board for ESL teachers, not religious zealots who are in the business of selling god and really... YOUR VERY OWN INTERNET MINISTRY.
In 35 pages of your posts hardly a word about ESL teaching...but that's because you're not really here to talk about ESL teaching or help with that, you're here to direct people to your Myspace.com site and your very own "fiveeagles ministry" site in any surreptitious way you can--consistently, and all with that slimy little "god loves you" Jim Bakker-shilling-for-bucks smirk. I did not fail to notice the "DONATE" part of your website. All under the guise of "Oh I'm just here to chill at Dave's, man." Yeah right. "Donate" for what? So you too can live like Jim and Tammy? Your posting history gives your alterior motives for being here away in spades.
If you want to punch up your number of "internet ministry followers" to suck money out of, do it somewhere else.
