So that's a 'no' on Cda-to-Kor calls via Skype?
Could you do Kor-phone to Cda-pc calls? |
I've been using skype for a long time. You can call pc-to-pc no problems. If you have skypeout, you can call Korea to anywhere including Canada for less than us$0.02 per minute
Skypein, which doens't have any Canadian numbers, allows users to call you from their landline to your computer using a local number. If you are not online it can be forwarded to voicemail or possiblely your real landline or cell. |
Ah, thanks SH. So with Skypeout I could do CDA-pc to Kor-phone. I'm definitely going to look into that. |

| I used skypePC-PC for a couple of years but occasionally would get buffering problems so tried Google Talk and have found the quality to be better. That might be because there are fewer users. It uses your google mail id as account name. Not a huge difference, but never seem to have the buffering problems so it's now my VOIP of choice but they don't have the skype in/out features. Also, if you're signed on to your google email account but don't have google talk on, it will let you know if someone is trying to call you. |

i use vonage. i can call anyone in us, canada and mexico included in my package, the rates overseas are cheap too. my local number is 210 in texas where my family lives. they call from their regular land line or cell phone with charge to them because it is a local number. i have unlimted hours, voicemail, conferencing, forwarding, em notification of new msgs.
if this looks like something you might want,
pm or em [email protected]
through my referral you get 1 month free and the router. i love vonage because i can call those who still don't have computers or on their cells. let me know if you have any more questions.
