I'm going to Guam to get my e2 visa. I have been issued a visa number from immigration in Seoul. Do I need to bring sealed transcripts to Guam with me or is the number, passport, visa application and money enough?

The transcripts go to Immi here in Korea.

Don't forget to take an empty suitcase to Guam with you so you can fill up on stuff you can't buy here.

The consulate in Canada wanted either my transcripts or my original degree. This might be their own extreee step but bring your original degree just in case.

Is it possible to get an E2 visa in Guam??? I never knew that. How long does it take to process and is the school footing the bill?

Guam's a great place to get your E-2. I had to pay the difference in airfare between Japan/Guam but I was also able to finagle the employer into letting me stay a few days extra.

In my experience, I took in my stuff one day and picked it up the next. Once I got it back the same day. It isn't like the consulate there is busy. In the three or four times to get my visa in Guam, I've only seen one other person in the office.

Guam's a decent place to spend a few days. Decent beaches and lots of good restaurants. Big variety. It's a good place when you need a break from Korea. When I'm there, I feel like I'm in the US. And sometimes that's a good thing.

IMO, the only downside to it is the plane schedule. You arrive and leave in the middle of the night.
