If I might just chime in here for a second. I think it's unfair that Kyopos are not permitted to be a part of the UNESCO public (show and tell) school program. Well, they're not really Americans...etc. I talked to the guy in charge a few years ago and have decided to personally boycot it. I think they should allow Kyopos to be a part of it.
OK now you can both come back out fighting. |

Just admit it. A Korean American with F-4 PERMANENT RESIDENCY trumps a poseur fake canadian with FAKE-5! You are such a phoney! Go back home to the Yukon where you belong! |
Keep telling yourself that when you have to schlep down to immi to renew and wait in line with DDD workers from the Philippines. I bet that makes you feel like a real Korean, eh?
And are you sure you are American? You seem unable to grasp the meaning of the word permanent. A bit of a hint: 2 years isnt permanent. |
You still haven't proven a thing so keep on spouting off bag boy. You ain't nothin' but a mouth. |

What have you proven? Im still waiting to see how 2 years is permanent. Basically you have a 2 year visa that may or may not be challeneged again on grounds that it is unconstitutional. Sounds like a flakey visa to me. One day you may go back to renew because your "permanent" visa is about to expire, wait in line behind some Indonesian DDD workers and Russian "entertainers" and find out the F4 has been abolished because it was deemed unconstitutional. Thats permanent? Even F2-1s have you beat as F2-1s are regularly given more than 2 years to renew again. Seems to me the F4 is about the 3rd best visa on the totem pole of visas in Korea.

Man, watching OCOKA Dude is like watching some guy stumble around the ring after a killer punch.
OCOKA Dude, you were wrong. There are the links to prove it on this thread.
You said:

Wrong

| I'm not going to get into a semantical argument with you b/c F-4s are defacto citizens. F-5s, on the other hand, have not been established yet. There has been much ado and talking about this proposed status -- mostly by the foreign F-2-1 crowd -- however, the Korean gov't has made no decisions on it yet. It exists only in the mind of hopeful foreigners. |

Wrong
Why not admit it, move on with it ,and drop the name calling? |

Why don't you admit that you are wrong, move on, and go back to your own country where you might be able -- once again -- to get a job flipping burgers? |

Any idiot can file a petition with the Supreme Court alleging any manner of things. That some uppity foreigner did alleging of all things that F-4s are "unconstitutional" -- which is absolutely ridiculous -- means absolutely nothing. Most petitions get thrown out like this one will so don't hold your breath dork. |

hahah. Atleast in his country he wouldnt need to renew his visas, unlike you in Korea, your country. OH WAIT! Korea isnt your country either. Tough luck. Are you pissed that what was once the best visa in Korea has now become nothing special and that whiteys are able to get visas that trump yours? Oh the days of being the only one to be able to do privates and 3 jobs and rake in millions are over, as is the lack of competition and the ability to rub it in the face of those burger flippers from back home. |

The OP asks for information re; hagwon/school treatment of kyopos.
Man, I saw a kyopo mistreated at a hagwon. I was the first foreign teacher and two Korean teachers started up the enrollment and held the fort. I was, to continue the wildwest analogy, the cavalry.
So they dumped them. Like dirt. No use for you anymore. The kyopo Korean English teacher had been promised an apartment and so on and so forth. He was pissed. I saw him years later and he recognized me and I could see he went back in his memory to that time of being used, and deceived, and let go just like that.
Another kyopo I met at a hagwon had a complex of some sort. Like it really angered him that a white face could get more pay and more job security. He played both sides in a two faced way. Lots of squirming. He was never mistreated. Just hung around too long playing both sides. Didn't get the results he wanted so he finally left. Tons of drama.

I challenge you OCOKA Dude, provide links that A) prove I flipped burgers and B) Show the F4 Visa to be "not a visa -- it is a permanent residency status"
It's pretty obvious you're just here to Troll, but I'm giving you a chance to at least prove you have something to back up your talk.
Good luck |

Not true about ethnic Chinese with Native English country citizenship teaching in English in China. I am and I did.... Its not too complicated in Korea... if you're not white they don't want you... The only thing that got me hired here was thier desperation. So many Hogwons so few teachers. |

Sorry, but the burden is on you. Unlike you, I don't have unlimited time to prattle away. I am, however, open to any cites that you can substantiate.
