The Toronto Maple Leafs are currently in 11th place in the conference.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have lost 13 of their last 16 games.
The Leafs make me point and laugh ala Nelson Muntz "HA HA"
The Leafs will more than likely lose on the national broadcast Saturday night, 7-2, only because Emery is the goaltender.
Leaf fan is going to party like it's 1985!
Leafs sick. Change the vowel.
LEAFS SICK! LEAFS SICK! |

Loafs? Sock? Yeah, that's it, the Leafs are a sock for a real team.

Haha, that reminds me of a playoff game (/accident) I witnessed at Maple Leaf Gardens back in the '80s, with the first-place Islanders playing the first round against the 16th-place Leafs (yeah, they snuck in that year). Early on, with the home squad already down 5-0 before the first hotdog had been sold, my friend (a rabid Leaf fan at that) leapt from his seat and wailed, "Stop! Stop! Somebody could get hurt!"
I swear I laughed so hard, it was like a near-death experience (and so was the game). |

There has never been a better time to blow up the Leafs...
I'd trade Sundin and McCabe now while they can get something for them... |

Life long habs fan here too (even if born in TO!) I can only feel sad for the Leafs.
I don't however feel sad for some of their more rabid fans who started doing what Leaf fans do in December after their team won a few games in a row: go wild and talk stanley cup.
Best way to stop a Habs vs Leafs debate in its tracks:
Habs have 24 Stnaley Cups, last one being 1993 (1987 before that and most of the 70's)
Leafs last won the cup back when Lester B. Pearson was PM....
Then again, the habs recent streak is nothing to go nuts about...the playoff race will be tight as heck! |

A seriously distraught Ed Belfour recently tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a train. Fortunately for him it went through his legs and he wasn't injured. |

Canada has produced two great comedy teams: Wayne and Shuster and the Toronto Maple Leafs. |

I can't wait until the leafs miss the playoffs. I live in Toronto but I hate them. It's not Pat Quin's fault they're losing, however, maybe a change is needed.
The new NHL, with the salary cap, has worked well I think. Prior to the cap the leafs were the NHL's equivalent of the NY Yankees. They traded away all their prospects for overrated players and signed veteran guys in the off season. Now the playing field has been leveled and the leafs are in serious trouble. Belfour is 41 and Sundin has a few good years left in him and that's it. The future doesn't look so bright for the leafs...and I love it.
Go flames. |
