There are a couple of books published by Pusan National University specifically for high school students. Check at Kyobo. Once you've looked through them, you can adapt or make your own.

If I remember right, they are called "Discussion Topics for Korean High School Students".

There is also a website called breakingnews.com that has short news stories, some of which are appropriate for high school students. The articles come with lessons already worked out for lower and higher level. Take a look and see if any are usable with your students.

When I was in high school, sex was what I enjoyed talking about the most. Give it whirl.

My high-schoolers just want to talk about their movie/pop idols. They never tire of it!!!!!!! It drives me nuts!!!!!!

From time to time, I try to slip in - as refered to above - topical material from www.breakingnewsenglish.com It's such a great site, and can be used with any teenage+ agegroup who can at least hold a basic conversation.

Alternatively, you can give them group projects. Role playing in front of video cameras also gets everyone pretty excited. You can also get them to re-inact their beloved TV drama scenes.

With some very advanced middle schoolers, I had success with "Is television good or bad?" and "Are ghosts real?"
