So I'm about a month away from finishing my first contract, and there is no way in hell I am staying at this institute for another contract! My questions:
There is a difference between my start date at the hagwon and the date of issuance for my E2. I am wondering if that could cause any snags or interesting situations?
I also heard that you have ten days from some date to leave the country: is that date the day after you stop working, or the date of your visa issuance (10 days from start date, or 10 days from Visa issuance - they should be the same technically, but they aren't in my case.
Do I have to leave the country to renew an E-2?
What does a letter of release do, and do I need one after finishing my contract? |

Look at the date on your ARC. If its earlier than the finish date of your contract, then you will need to go to the immigration office for an extension.
The date your ARC expires is the date you must be out of the country.
You dont need a release letter. You probably will have to leave the country for a new E2. |
