Maybe Mr. Jones isn't even a white guy. If the recruiter has seen his photo he is not likely to take the OP as Mr. Jones. If he has never seen Mr. Jones photo, how does he know he is necessarily white? Unless he asked specifically when he was recruiting him if he was white?

I don't know if he was white but as soon as the recruiters eyes locked onto me he came straight for me(I didn't go to him) so I am assuming that they were expecting a whitey.

Sadly expectations and reality don't always match. If I was not a white guy and I knew that Hagwons only want white guys, I would send them some false pictures of me and get a ticket to come. Once I get here and they have already paid my flight, they are not likely to send me away. I could always claim the picture wasn't very clear and it was hard to tell what I really looked like. Haha

How would you get your visa?

They might try to bring you in as a tourist.

Well I was saying maybe they will just employ me anyway, since they've already paid for my flight and I'm certtainly not paying them back. But if they have enough money to pay for another ticket to get someone else, then at least I got a free trip to Korea. Maybe could find some desperate hagwons to employ me. I said not a white person, not not a native speaker.
